My First Chinese Essay

31 Mar

Makes about 90% sense, in my opinion. :)

Pray for Japan…and when you are finished praying, pray some more.

Surviving Choir

2 Mar

As part of my Bachelor of Arts course, I am required to take two subjects a year that are outside the Arts discipline. Seeing as I am not a great fan of mathematics, science or commerce, I resorted to Music in my search for that elusive extra subject. One problem – I don’t play any musical instruments! I pressed on, refusing to accept defeat and stumbled upon Choir. Here it was! No experience necessary stated the class summary. Tuesday afternoon I rock up to Choir and find our music for the Semester – European Sacred Choral Music. Yes, I am now a part of choir that sight reads music, sings in Latin and somehow I am also in the soprano section….and I thought Choir would be a breeze. I’m sure it will be a fun experience, and, if I don’t break my voice, loads of fun as well. In the meantime, I’m just stumbling along hoping that I will learn by osmosis as the conductor is sure that us newcomers will. Wish me luck! :)
